Bro. Sam Ward arrived in Croatia on the 24th of May with a burden for souls and a stack of Gospel tracts. Bro. Johnny Leslie met him with open arms and the warning began.

Bro. Johnny Leslie is a missionary in Croatia and has been working in the city of Čakovec for the last 8 years. He planted the very first independent Baptist church in this same city and it is now under the leadership of a national pastor.

Bro. Johnny has a huge burden to see Croat and Gypsy alike born into the family of God and independent Baptist churches planted. He is sent through Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas where Dr. Bob Smith is the pastor.

Bro. Sam Ward is a layman at Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. He teaches the Singles Again adult Sunday school class and is heavily involved in the soul-winning program. He is often found preaching in the Huntsville prison and has a great love for those men. He invests many hours in the lives of young men at the Dallas Juvenile Detention Center helping and preaching. On Saturday nights Bro. Sam can be found at the Baptist Rescue Mission in Ft. Worth, preaching, lending a hand where needed and simply being a friend.

Bro. Sam first came to Croatia in the fall of 2006 on a short mission trip. He soon fell in love the with generous Croatian people and developed a great burden for them. He is a huge blessing to the church in Croatia and to all he meets.
